Foundation transparency challenge

The Foundation Transparency Challenge infographic is designed to help funders take steps to greater openness. It provides an at-a-glance overview of why and how foundations are prioritizing transparency, inventories common strengths and pain points across the field, and highlights good examples that can serve as inspiration for others in areas that represent particular challenges to the field.

Between 2010 to 2022, 112 foundations used and publicly shared the results of the GlassPockets transparency self-assessment, which assesses the transparency of foundation websites. This infographic shares both field-wide and aggregate transparency data from their participation, including:
