New Resources for the Field

We've just added several valuable resources to our knowledge center, and we want to highlight two for the GrantCraft community.

The first, Community Foundation Field Guide to Impact Investing, was published by Mission Investors Exchange in partnership with the Council on Foundations. This guide focuses on how community foundations can use impact investing to maximize resources and achieve both social and financial returns. Similar to our GrantCraft resources, this report walks through the practical steps needed to incorporate impact investing into community foundations' philanthropic toolboxes.

The second, Spending out - making it happenwas published by the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) in 2012, and is centered on the practicalities of spending out for those foundations that have decided this is the strategy for them. This resource aligns well with the our latest series Making Change by Spending Down launched in September in partnership with The Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies (ACBP) that will share lessons and perspectives of ACBP as it spends down its endowment by 2016. We encourage you to check out both of these reads on our new and improved resources to improve practice page, and tell us your thoughts! Do these resources increase your understanding of impact investing programs and spend down strategies? Will they help you to hone your craft?
