Maria Pignataro Nielsen has been the chief human resources officer at The Atlantic Philanthropies since 2011. Before joining Atlantic, she was the director of global human resources at Human Rights Watch, where she created HRW’s human resources function. A Barnard graduate, she is certified as a senior professional in human resources and holds certificates in strategic workforce planning and international assignment management.
