Cricket Island Foundation Grantee Peer Learning, Co-Learning and Communities of Practice

“We’re piloting a leadership transition strategy because a number of our grantees were facing executive transitions,” says Liz Sak, executive director of the Cricket Island Foundation. According to the foundation’s website: The Foundation’s Leadership Transition Grants are structured as three-year general operating support grants that directly support grantees through an executive director transition, and are supplemented with annual technical assistance grants to be used towards consultant fees, leadership trainings, and other transition-related expenses. A first cohort of three organizations has been selected and the foundation is working with organizations individually and as part of a peer learning cohort: to help the outgoing leader put a plan in place, and onboard and acclimate the incoming leader.
